So apparently, Bank of America is going to start charging its clients $5 per month for use of their debit cards. Supposedly this starts in January; I need to look into the specifics of this and also for another bank that's going to be less petty. >_>

These two girls directly behind me in microecon class constantly whisper criticisms of various classmates' appearances. It gets harrowing.

Annoyance aside, I think they're tragic. Underneath their trash talk, their insecurities probably run deep.
They may see a lot, but do they have the strength to turn the lens on themselves and dare to note what they see?

I haven't been outside at all today. O___o Now, why my room is still not spotless is a mystery to me.

Was going to go outside, but then I heard the landlady's voice. Not long after, she had a loud phone conversation about the tattoo she would be getting. Just as I was about to rejoice about her leaving the house and me alone, I find out it would be on a week day.
I think I should discard of the possibility of ever bringing friends over. The slits in her curtains are all strategic. The one in front, across from the banana trees, and behind my closet.
All this constant vigilance would make Alastor Moody proud.

So there have been more and more people in costume around my work area. Queen of Hearts (Burton version), Edward Elric, the Mario Brothers, Thomas the Tank Engine... It's pretty cool, lol. And apparently, I was the first person to recognize the Fullmetal Alchemist costume.

How did Sirius Black track down Harry's location with the Dursleys, anyway?
Did Lily still have enough connection to Petunia after her marriage to James for it to come up in conversation for Sirius to know at least what town Harry would have been relocated to? I know he intercepted Hagrid that fateful night, bereaved and desperate to be at least guardian to his late best friend's son. Dumbledore's plan must've passed in conversation... after all, it was mayhem after the murder of the Potter couple; Sirius wasn't immediately incarcerated.

After the Secret-Keeper confirmation....
..... Did Dumbledore assume that Sirius was a qualified Occlumens ... ?

Or did he believe Sirius was innocent all along?

.... Oh, never mind. I remember Barty Crouch Sr. threw Sirius into prison without trial... since Crouch had that little obsession going on.
Dumbledore wouldn't have had a chance.

I'm reading the third book with my cousin's copy. She was in the hospital last Christmas, and it was one of her many gifts from them. Pretty nifty.
After surgery was over, she, her twin brother, and their little sister sat making arts 'n' crafts gifts for me. I was shocked and touched... and now the green glitter pieces on page 41 are bringing me back.

Additional info from Pottermore states that James and Lily never visited 4 Privet Drive, but that they may have known the address since Petunia received a letter announcing Harry's birth (by owl post or Muggle post, it is unspecified; I assume Lily would have known the address since she was so upset by her sister's attitude toward her). It's possible for Sirius to have learned the address from her.

I'm not sure if Sirius could have been an Occlumens; he was just as brash as James and Harry that he might not have been cut out for it. However, I don't think that had anything to do with who was the secret-keeper since it was Sirius's idea to swap at the last minute in the first place... Goodness, I need to look over the books again.

No, I mean with regards to Dumbledore, whose stand on Sirius in those 12 years is murky to me. He confirmed that Sirius was the secret-keeper for Prongs and Lily. He didn't know of the last-minute switch. Did he see this confirmation as all he needed to know for the identity of the traitor? I ask if Dumbledore assumed Sirius was a qualified Occlumens because he didn't try to shed light on Sirius's innocence - because he possibly looked into Sirius's mind to find there was no evidence that indicated he was the rat.
In short, I wondered if Dumbledore believed Padfoot guilty because of this assumption.
Not if Sirius was an Occlumens. I know my favorite character would not have been cut out for that.


Professor Lupin has made his appearance! I love those elderly, intellectual, fatherly types...
But mostly, I love the Harry/Remus dynamic - just as much as I love the Harry/Sirius dynamic.
They're just so beautiful. Familial relations between those who are otherwise not related by blood... it's epic to me.

I would never survive a dementor. If they trigger me to relive even portions of my worst memories, I would have died of a heart attack before they could inhale my soul.

Also, where has Remus been living all these years? Given his status, he must not have had abundant work opportunities. Hopefully his parents left him their estate? Wait, was he an only child? Yes. This isn't Romulus and Remus. This is Remus Lupin, Moony.
How did he survive? I know James supported him financially, but that was relatively short-lived.
I think Remus was aspiring to be a professor since long - the faded letters on the dilapidated suitcase indicates this.

This next question just randomly popped in my head. Dumbledore and Harry?
I know he did care for Harry, but was a bit utilitarian.
Finishing Voldemort off was his priority.

I still remember ten years ago just how astounded I was to find out who Scabbers really was.

I think it would have to be for that assumption he believed Sirius guilty. The only people who knew about the switch would have been James, Lily, Sirius, and Peter. Dumbledore was elsewhere when Pettigrew betrayed them and was unable to make any contact with Sirius who was sent to Azkaban shortly after. There is no evidence that Dumbledore ever so much as visited Azkaban and the fact that he greatly despises Dementors shows that he may never have done so. The broken Fidelius Charm and the testimonies of Muggle witnesses were enough proof for many, perhaps even Dumbledore.

Dumbledore and Harry? Yes, Dumbledore did deeply care for Harry. This affection is why he blames himself for the death of Sirius

Also, he had surmised that once Harry knew the truth about the Horcruxes and what happened to Voldemort on that fateful night, surrendering himself as the last thing tethering Voldemort to the world, he would be protected from the Killing Curse.
