^That's not up to me to decide, miss 'bee. In doing that, I'd cause trouble within my own family. I can't do that. I'm talking about my BANK account. Sure, it's not the family one, but the money in there is intended towards my education. I'm sorry, but on that, I'm gonna have to say no. My parents have worked too hard.
That said, chances are I wouldn't have enough to lend out of my own pocket to clear up dire things like debt, even if I wanted to. I usually buy clothes, high-end skincare, whatnot. It's not like I look at all the cash I have and think, "Oh I should save up just in case a friend needs this." That just doesn't make sense. I'm not built to clear up dire situations like debt and stuff like that. I might be able to find help for them, but it ends there. I'm only nineteen. I can only do what I'm capable of.

Oh, and if you're Asian, then this next technique is INNATE.
C O U P O N S ~
Also, when buying school supplies, wait for the sales. I remember Staples was selling filler paper for a penny a pack that one year. That was one crazy steal. Too bad I didn't attend it.
Why? My parents put me in "tutoring" . Oh, no! NO. Oh, YES. Hours and hours of having professor Calvin cough and sneeze and hack mixtures of both without covering his mouth. I've never been so ill during summer before.
What else... oh, yeah. Memberships at shopping places/department stores. If it's free, go for it. You will get discounts!
And one store in particular. Sephora. yes, high-end makeup. Become a member and you get a set of free lipgloss you can pick up until 14 days after your birthday.
I never got around to picking it up because the one time I was even near it, something else was either happening that tied my hands together, or it because I was with a bunch of guys and they dragged me to other stores where the employees were flying toy airplanes around.
But yeah. Sephora, baby. They even send you gift cards. Occasionally, though. I mean, come on. Membership is free - you can even sign up online. They have very nice eyeliner (;
