This didn't happen today. Tuesday afternoon, more like.

Kenster and I were sitting on a bench behind the bamboo bushes at school. There were a bunch of guys on the other side of the bamboo.
Anyway, he passed me his contemporary literature treatise, and I asked to read an excerpt from whatever his class was currently dissecting - in this case, 'Pilgrims.' The takeaway - boy taunts girl by stealing her cherished crystal souvenir, boy clamors his way up on a tree, girl follows him, girl dives towards the crystal he flung into the air, snaps off a branch, and lands on her neck. The kids crowd around her and vomit at the sight of a bare bone glistening at her wrist. Boy drags girl's body towards a fence and does things to it, then finally proceeds to organize her limbs in such a way so as to make it seem like she fell off the fence.
It was all so graphic to me that I shrieked, "OH, MY GOD! OH JESUS!"
The entire court yard went silent, and I turned to see Kenny laughing his rear end off.
"You obviously should not go anywhere near this book again."
"WELL, NO."
"That was... awkward... hahahaha!!"
I could scarcely recover from the spooks I had from the passage, but I managed. "Hey, that's what I'm here for - to cultivate and spread the awkward."

Oh, and our four fails at using the hot plate for saltwater and dionized water made for a humorous and colorful day.

^ Yeah. It was for his English 101 class. Not unlike AP Lit (English 4 AP) in high school. The most morbid thing I read back then, of course, was The Metamorphosis. I personally liked that piece, though, though I couldn't stand to discuss it in our seminar without feeling a little on edge... some of its realities, and questions of internal and external identity... mindblowing. It's by Franz Kafka. It's worth the venture, IMHO.

Watching old Fresh Prince episodes because I can't breathe with either nostril and am reduced to my bed.
Ashton Kutcher's 'Teenage Dream' rendition... hahahaaa!
Speaking of which, because of my general hermit behavior as of late, I was not aware that Mr. Kutcher is now one of the main regulars in 'Two and a Half Men.'

^ Oh, yeah. It was a really weird turn of events; publicly, toward the end of last season, Charlie Sheen was earning too much bad press and it came out that he was becoming more and more difficult to work with due to drug abuse. That season was culminating in a thrilling arc about how his brother, Alan, had every major character in the show involved in a Ponzi scheme and how Charlie's character was finally coming to love his crazy stalker (Rose, the smartest character) of the entire series.

This new season with Kutcher began with Charlie's funeral; apparently he and Rose had run away to Paris where he suffered a fatal accident which rendered his body unrecognizable. It is greatly implied that the "accident" was caused by Rose when she found him in the shower with another woman.

Kutcher comes into the scene when Charlie's beach house must be sold and his character, a depressed, eccentric billionaire is cheered up by Alan, then decides to buy the house and allows Alan to continue living there.

I suppose Rose was Chuck Lorre's trump card, but I don't like how they completely threw out the Ponzi scheme or how the entire grieving process of the family is over before the opening credits finish.

On-topic: Re-watched last night's episode of Modern Family twice today.
I love that show so much.

^ Wow, that is a whopper! While T&1/2M isn't exactly a show where bereavement and its dimensions are expected to be probed, I know Fresh Prince was capable of something like that - which was why it was an iconic show in its three-dimensionality.
So, Ashton Kutcher plays a depressed, eccentric millionaire. Now I can stop thinking of 'that Jesus look' every time I pass a relevant banner.


Just tried to restrain a roaring sneeze, but it was a futile attempt. Gosh, the rate it ripped right through me... and the sheer noise. I just snickered because I know EXACTLY what the landlord lady looks like donning that seething expression on her face.
One of these days my more clumsy accidents will transpire at ungodly hours, and she'll be provoked - but if she thinks she can knock down the door in the face of my sleep-deprived, grumpy father, she's got another thing coming.

Watching David Letterman now... such button-pushing.

^ Thanks, Uncle Sammy! =D I'm feeling better today. My hearing isn't in tact yet, but I'm not really complaining lol. How are you doing?

My dad faking absentmindedness before the landlord lady. HAHA... her complaints trailed off into oblivion as she stalked off in a huff. Did she seriously think he gives a damn about my forgetfulness and how much it irks her? That woman's a riot!
I still remember when she banged on my window in the middle of the day. Who needs Halloween and horror movies when a psycho lives on the other side of my closet?

Snubbed a relative in an email. Lecturing me on mere motions and rumors that center in on me... honestly, I never confirmed anything, and she continues to reprimand me? What the hell? Well, that left me smiling... my prolonged exposure to the syntax and diction in my business law textbook probably carried over. I hope she has fun bonding with her dictionary. It's appalling what people resort to for entertainment when they have too much free time.
Good Lord...

I guess... I just feel a sense of relief that I finally stood up to a family member. Family or not - in the grand scheme of things, she's just another person to me. Why shouldn't I voice what I feel is unjustified?
Yeah, I was a bit snarky, but these episodes have got to stop. What the hell do I owe them? If anything, a handful of them owe my mother.
I won't be silenced or unreasonably cornered.

A bee nearly flew into my mouth while I was biking, just before the hill. It landed on my chin instead, so I smacked it away - and spent the next two miles wondering if I was imagining the numbness in that area.

It's my vainest aunt... my illogical, vain, condescending aunt...
Now that that's over with, I don't have to think about it anymore. Thank goodness.
