No, not all of them. Just twenty-five.
Here's my list, in no particular order. It's by memory, but this doesn`t necessarily place these songs in a hierarchy over my other favorites.
(Song title - artist)
1. Wen Bie (Good-bye Kiss) - Jacky Cheung
I first heard this song in Shaolin Popeye, when Ng Man Tat was singing to the female envoy while the infant monks were giggling in the backdrop. I immediately fell in love with it. I was too young at the time to know who exactly Jacky Cheung was, but I knew I loved his voice.
2. Take Me to Your Heart - MLTR ft. Hu Yan Bin(Mandarin version) or ft. Shin Hye Sung (Korean version)
These are both covers of Jacky Cheung's Wen Bie.
3. Qiu Fo - Shi Yan
This is a meaningful song. I first heard it in a fan-made MV featuring Yang Wu Lang(Johnny Chen's, that is) and Guan Hong. Since I was already sympathetic towards his plight - seeing his brothers and father perish on the battlefield and not being able to do anything to stop their downfall. It was not that he lacked caliber; he was merely not present due to a certain ploy of his wife. I know plenty will have to say to me in disagreement, but I thought he had no other choice but to become a monk at Wutai Mountain. What good would it be, living a life full of painful hindrances? For this I love Wu Lang, and this song, even more.
4. Bu Yi Yang De Ai - Luo Mei Ling
A rather plaintive melody, touching upon a love that has changed.
5. unknown Cantonese duet - Fiona Sit (?)
I'll be back to edit this if I ever find out the title.
6. Nan Ren Bu Gai Rang Nu Ren Liu Lei - Su Yong Kang
What else can I say? Men should not -- cannot -- make women cry.
7. Jue Bie Shi - Anson Hu
I'm an avid fan of historical heroes, and this "Farewell Good-bye Poem" just does it for me. Poignant in verse and lasting in melody, it truly is emblematic of war heroes and their stricken loved ones.
8. Happiness - Super Junior
This tune is just too happy-go-lucky/cutesie to ignore. With cute Korean guys and one skilled Chinese kung fu dancer embellishing the backdrop of the music video, who can resist the urge for a peek?
9. Twins (Knock-Out) - Super Junior
Okay, I have no idea what this song means, but it has an excellent beat. It's also a cover of Triple 8's Twins, and SuJu's first single.
It's sad to remember Hangeng having to wear a mask onstage because his performances in Korea are limited to what can be yielded by his passport.
10. Simple and Clean - Utada Hikaru
This song reminds me of so many things. Strangely enough, it makes me recall the archaic concept of arranged marriages. "Does that mean I have to meet your father?" and etc. It's also a very ambiguous song.
11. Shanghai Tan (Shanghai Beach) - Frances Yip
One of my favorite classics, be it the Cantonese or Mandarin version. Her voice adorns this poignant, rather heroic melody as it serves as the theme song of one of China's most widely-acclaimed dramas. This song beckons a listen every now and then if anything from the modern era proves to bore, which happens often.
12. Marry U - Super Junior
I usually listen to the Mandarin version so that I can understand it, but the Korean version, being the original, is always heartwarming.
13. Gao Su Ta Wo Ai Ta - Hu Ge
There are two alternate English titles of this song - Tell Her I Love Her, and Tell Him I Love Her. Who really cares, right? Music is open to subjective interpretation. As for the actual song -- it's slightly catchy, light-hearted, and makes Hu Ge's singing voice sound better than usual. Just kidding. I merely liked the 'Shao Nian Yang Jia Jiang' series.
14. Mei You Wo Ni Zen Me Ban - Peter He
Without Me, What Would You Do? It was the slow closing theme song of The Legend of Dagger Lee aka Little Lee's Flying Daggers starring Vincent Jiao En Jun as Li Xun Huan and Xiao Qiang as Lin Shi Yin.
15. Way I Are - Timbaland
16. Me & U - Cassie
17. Don't Don - Super Junior
Once again, nice beat with elite dancing routines to accompany. Hangeng's pelvic thrusts lol
Chinese or Korean version is fine. Korean is preferred, though, where the music video has Hangeng doing his trademark thrust.
18. Zhi Neng Bao Zhe Ni - Liang Jing Ru ft. Guang Liang
Some know the artists as Fish Leung and Michael Tong -- for those non-Chinese. Anyway, this duet basically follows a three-way love, so to speak. It's rather soft, and can serve as a lullaby, as dark as that sounds.
19. Ai Shi Yong Heng - Jacky Cheung
The classic wedding ballad. Love lasts forever.
But we're only here today.....
20. Sha Po Lang - JS
I really don't know why I listen to this so much.
21. Extraordinary - Liz Phair
For all the weirdos out there! Payce!
22. SG Wannabe - Partner For Life
It's sweet. I can't understand it, though. Should check it out, mates!
23. Meng Zhong Di Hun Li - Anson Hu
24. Waiting For You - Anson Hu
25. Hu Die - Anson Hu
Basically, favorite singer = Anson Hu, favorite band = Super Junior.
Typical teen girl? Yes, yes!
