Hi, I was wondering if you could help me.

I have a very picky friend named Tin(that is her nickname, anyway]. She isn't exactly gorgeous, but she expects the best guys to hook up with. I don't tell her that it is a very fat chance this will happen, but she continues to think she is hot and that the hottest guys and the nicest guys will ask her out one day. She has waited for seventeen years. This is her senior year in high school, and she was finally asked out by this guy named Adrian. She is Asian, and he is Mexican, but that is only one reason for rejecting him. Ever since she said no, things have been awkward between them, and neither has talked to the other. They only talk about each other behind each other's backs.

I want to try to set them up together, but then I thought no. How can I at least get them to talk to each other?

they dont have to talk to each other. its better to take this time to move on and then become friends again. but i think the best thing is that they avoid each other instead of sitting around wondering what could have been

This sounds like something that recently happened between some of my friends. Huh. What a coincidence....

If I was this Tin friend of yours, then I would avoid Adrian as well. In fact, I might not treat him as I would typically. When something in the relationship has shifted, it is fairly difficult to adjust and crank things abck to where they were originally.

I don't think you should force them. It is like bonding between atoms. They break away if you apply excess force. Give them some time away from each other. You don't want Adrian to be in pain each time he sees your friend.

well im no expert at relationships, but at this point.. everybody should just be cool.. mind there own busniess for a while.. let them do it themselves.. I THINK THAT EVERYBODY NEEDS SOME CONFIDENCE ONCE IN A WHILE, THE BEST THING TO DO AT THIS TIME IS TO LET YOUR FRIEND TIN EXPERIENCE THE HURT OF REJECTION.. ONLY THEN WELL SHE LEARN HER LESSON..

i think that kind of stupid reason to reject him. she should of given it some thoughts or at least tell him to be friends.
