TUTORIAL ONE
A COUPLE UNIVERSAL TIPS
- I've found that applying eyeshadow keeps eyeliner from smudging (: Well, I can't guarantee it'll keep your eyeliner from smudging (a problem for double-eyelids), but it definitely helps keep the eyeliner in place for a day.
- Try to pull at your skin as little as possible. I know a lot of people out there tell you to pull your eyelid back because it's easier to apply eyeliner, but doing so will cause your skin to sag in your later years. If you have trouble drawing on your eyelid, try tilting your head back (so your looking at the upper part of your wall, perhaps) and looking down so you can see most of your eyelid.
PRECAUTION
First off, I will tell you from truth that I have rarely ever used make-up.
In fact, I've only probably worn make-up out a total of ten times.
In addition, I've only applied it myself half that time.
And on top of that, it's usually just eyeliner.
WHY I RECOMMEND THIS TUTORIAL
1) I can proudly say that this method lasted all day.
I'm not lying.
I spent an entire day (from 8:30AM to 7PM) at Disneyland and my top eyeliner was still there.
And I rode water rides half the time.
2) I've tried a LOT of tutorials and haven't liked the results of ANY of them. I found a tutorial in a Japanese magazine (where I'm basing this tutorial from) and was actually satisfied.
So those of you who have tried countless tutorials and haven't been satisfied, take a stab at this one (:
3) It's light and easy.
LET'S BEGIN.
I prefer my natural look over my make-up look (but that's probably cause I'm used to my natural look) so this make-up style is very light.
MATERIALS
black pencil eyeliner
brown pencil eyeliner (I don't have this so I just used dark brown eyeshadow)
black liquid eyeliner
white shimmer shadow (I don't have any so I used white eyeliner)
eyeshadow in browns (see below)
For the first image, we will be using all except the first and third shade (going lightest to darkest).
For the second image, we will be using the biggest rectangle.
In essence, you need peach, tan and dark brown.
TUTORIAL
*First off, I must apologize for horrible pictures. You can't even tell the difference in them, but if you actually try out the tutorial, you may see a difference in real life.
All images unedited, merely resized.
01. Start with a clean face! Add foundation/primer/anything else you need. (I honestly don't know what you're supposed to use to prep your face because I don't use any of it D:)
02. Apply the lightest shade of eyeshadow all over your eyelid. Even all the way up to your eyebrow (because I think it's kind of awkward if that part is just left untouched. I think you can also add a white eyeshadow there to highlight it?)
03. Using the black pencil eyeliner, draw a line across your upper eyelid. This may take some practice to get right because everyone has a different eyeshape and has to apply their eyeliner differently. Because my eyelids kind of disappear halfway into my eye, I make the liner thicker on the edge.
04. Add the second shade (my scale is from lightest --> darkest) of eyeshadow to half of your eyelid. From the inner corner out to the edge, only halfway up your eyelid.
(I made this image a little darker so you can see the result better.)
05. Using the darkest shade of brown, add another layer of "eyeliner." It is a thicker line than your first black line, but since it's brown, it'll be a softer addition. Don't be afraid to add the eyeshadow right on top of the eyeliner!!
06. You might notice your first layer of black eyeliner is nearly gone. Do not fret! Now take that black liquid eyeliner and add a nice line on your upper lid.
(As you can see, I'm a chicken and don't like to get close to my lashline, but it doesn't show when I open my eyes so I don't mind.)
07. Take your white shimmer shadow (or white eyeliner in this case. White shimmer stick also works!) and make a line (not a pencil thin one but not a crayon thick line) across the bottom half of your eye from the inside to the middle. Don't make it too dark! A thick white eyeline is never any good D:
09. Take your lightest shade of eyeshadow and go from the outside to the middle for your bottom eyelid.
10. Using your black pencil eyeliner, go 1/3 the way from the outside to the inside of your bottom eyelid. Don't use liquid eyeliner. You are not supposed to use any liquids on your bottom eyelid because they collect bacteria.
11. Take your darkest shade of brown eyeshadow and go over that black bottom line you just drew. Don't smudge that black line out of existence, but it adds a softer touch to the line so it's not as harsh.
12. Using your black eyeliner pencil, draw a very small line in the middle of your eye. My eyeliner is very dull so it made a thick line, but you want a thin line so used a sharpened pencil. TIP Sharpening your eyepencil from time to time will help get rid of any bacteria that may be on your pencil.
13. Now take that brown eyeliner pencil (or a thin brush and dark brown eyeshadow). Lightly connect the end of the middle line to the start of the outer line. TIP Brown eyeliner is a nice alternative to black eyeliner when you want a less harsh line.
Now you're basically done. Go for that eyecurling + mascara or false eyelashes, and do whatever else you'd like to do! (I don't do any of that so I couldn't possibly do a tutorial with any of those things xD)
BEFORE
AFTER MAKE-UP
I swear it looks better in real life (and with a sharpened pencil).
AFTER DISNEYLAND
TUTORIAL TWO
NOTE
I have no idea how long this lasts. I just did it and liked the result is all, and it takes a lot of tries for me to be satisfied with how my make-up comes out.
MATERIALS
black pencil eyeliner
dark brown eyeshadow
This is a really basic tutorial intended for daily wear. It's light, easy, anyone could have discovered it, but I just wanted to share it anyway.
01. So start off with your clean face. Add foundation/primer/etc, whatever floats your boat.
02. Take your black pencil eyeliner and line your bottom FLUIDLINE. The tutorial above did not call for the need to draw on your fluidline, but this tutorial does. If you don't know, your fluidline is where your eyelashes meet your eyelid. I prefer not to draw on here because you have to kind of pull your eyelid out to draw on the fluidline (and any tugging at your skin for a long time causes sagging in the future) and I'm afraid of poking my eye out. I won't lie.
03. Taking that dark shade of brown eyeshadow, draw a thick line across your upper eyelid. (I use my double eyelid line as a guide for the limit.) You're basically using eyeshadow as a substitute for eyeliner, but you can do a much thicker line because the color is lighter, therefore softer.
DONE!
Add mascara and whatever else you like if you want.

I hope SOMEONE out there found this helpful^^
REGARDING BRANDS
I went with drugstore stuff since I'm only a beginner.
In my tutorial, I used MAYBELLINE pencil and liquid eyeliner. This brand is carried in many (if not all) drugstores.
However, you may also see that my white eyeliner (it's actually eye kohl?) is MAC and my eyeshadow is LANCOME. Those are from my cousin and mother.
I can't say if brand name is better than drugstore, or drugstore is the same as brand name, since this is the only make-up I've ever had, but I can say that if you're a beginner, I suggest go with drugstore brands because it's cheaper. If you screw up a lot of times, it's okay.
Some people are allergic even to brand name make-up so don't think you'll be 100% safe with brand names. It'll probably be a higher chance of no reaction with brand names, but you can't be completely sure.
I do not recommend sharing make-up. Some people have horrible reaction to used make-up.
