BRIGHTENING PURPLE
EYE MAKEUP TUTORIAL
This is my first ever tutorial~ Perfect for a night out or just a dress up day. This look is very simple and easy to do and you don’t need many products to achieve the look. In this tutorial I used only a few drugstore brands. So enjoy and I appreciate any comments or criticism
Step1: Start with a clean eye and apply any concealer you like to cover up dark circles and primer for eyeshadow.
Step2: Apply a shimmery, light purple cream shadow all over the lid. I used the second color from Revlon’s Illuminance Crème Shadow Quad in Wild Orchids. You can find these quads in most drugstores and they’re only around $6.50. I got mine during a BOGO free sale at CVS.
Step3: Apply a gray eye shadow on the outer half of your lid or create a tilted “V” shape in accordance with the shape and size of your crease. I used the middle color in the NYX trio TS01. Blend the color inwards to achieve a more seamless look.
Step4: Use a black eye shadow to line your eyes as close as possible to your lashes. I only lined the outer half of my lid and extended it out for a winged look. I find that when I line my eyes from the inner corners it makes my eyes smaller. To wing it out, just extend your shadow with your eyes closed and correct it with a damp Q-tip. You can also use black pencil, liquid, or gel liner if you choose to.
Step5: Using the same color from Step2, connect the end of the liner from the upper lash line and drag it down to line the outer half of your lower lash line. Blend with the black shadow to create a smokier look and make your eyes pop
Step6: Use white shadow to line the inner corner of your eyes and if you wish you can apply some below your brows to highlight. Any white, shimmery color will do. I simply used the white color from my NYX palette. You’ve probably seen this step in every other eye makeup tutorial so this is nothing new It brightens the eyes and makes you look more awake.
Step7: We’re almost done!! Curl your lashes and use whatever mascara floats your boat. I used Maybelline’s Lash Stylist in Very Black [I’m only using this because it’s the first and only mascara that I’ve bought but it’s quite good]. I only applied mascara to the outer lashes to create more of the open eye look. You can apply mascara to the lower lashes as well but I didn’t feel like it today ^_^
Apply some a soft lip color to complement your eyes and TADA~ You’re good to go! Thanks for viewing!!
