UFOS IN THE MEDIAYour news articles here. UFO report – RAF did send fighters up A UFO spotter from Felpham has appealed to anyone else who saw the objects to contact him. Leo Lindsay and his wife, Rosie, watched the visitors from outer space from a bedroom window. Mr Lindsay has since had unofficial confirmation from the Ministry of Defence that two RAF planes were sent up to investigate the phenomenon. "The RAF don't do that unless there is a real reason," he stated. "I can't believe no one else saw the objects. I would estimate they were each about the size of a house. "Anyone walking along Felpham seafront at that time would not have been able to miss them. I hope they will let me know on ***** ******." Mr Lindsay estimates the objects must have been above Felpham seafront in a beautiful light blue sky with white puffy clouds. He was looking out of a bedroom window in his home in Roundle Avenue at about 6pm on October 4 when he saw 'two round football-shaped objects' coming over the trees high in the sky. He went downstairs to tell his wife. He watched as the objects change to become 'multi-faceted diamond shaped discs which moved further apart'. The fighter planes appeared on the scene ten minutes later. Two aunts staying with the couple also saw the incident. The full article appears in OS-Bognor Observer newspaper. Mystery lights spotted over GreenhamPower cuts and 'bright flashes' follow sighting of unidentified flying object A MYSTERIOUS, triangle-shaped formation of orange lights was spotted drifting silently across the skies over Greenham Common. Among the witnesses was Paul Smith, who said: “It was unbelievable.” The incident happened late on Saturday night and was followed by power cuts and bright flashes in the sky in the early hours of Sunday. Mr Smith, of Chapel Street, Thatcham, was walking through the common at midnight with a friend when he spotted something unusual hovering for three minutes before disappearing at great speed. He said: “We noticed strange lights in the sky. It was unbelievable. There were 10 lights in a triangle formation over one of the entrances to the old airbase. “After moving into a formation, they huddled and disappeared. It looked like they went up and vanished. For them to disappear like they did, they must have been going at a high speed.” He added: “There’s no way it could have been meteors. They were moving like there was some intelligence behind it.” From his apartment in Crookham House, Keith Cavendish-Coulson had a clear view for about 30 seconds of “dull orange” lights in the sky which were in a triangle or diamond shape formation, floating as high as a helicopter in the sky “I saw 12 flames,” he said. “One by one they were going out like candles. I thought, it can’t be fireworks, they are moving too slowly. “They seemed to reach a certain point at which they went out. I haven’t the faintest idea what they were.” UFO expert Steve Harris of the Newbury Astronomical Society dismissed satellites, meteors and space junk from rockets as possible explanations as these only light up the sky for a couple of seconds. He said: “We would have to put it down as an unidentified flying object.” The uncanny incident is the latest in a series of UFO sightings in the area. Two years ago, Hungerford residents were baffled to see a mystery fireball streaking across the sky for at least two months (pictured). Pets were reported behaving strangely as the object passed silently overhead, and strange sound and light effects were sighted in the area. Back in 1980, spectacular lights seen drifting over Newbury were found to be the burning remnants of a Russian rocket. And throughout 1972, floating orange lights terrified and amazed locals including young children and a local councillor. Have you spotted something strange in your neighbourhood? The 1967 Falcon Lake Landing An important UFO close encounter of the second kind comes to us from Canada. This amazing account details the experiences of Stephen Michalak of Winnipeg. Michalak earned his living as a mechanic, but was an amateur geologist, and while enjoying a few days off, he decided to do some prospecting. He tried his luck in the Whiteshell Provincial Park. This area was by no means new to Michalak. He had spent considerable time in the vicinity of the lake there. Michalak had followed reports of quartz veins being found in the area around Falcon lake. There were also reports of silver being found, and Michalak was on the trail of the valuable metal on May 19, 1967. He had traveled by bus from his home town of Winnipeg to a motel on the Trans-Canada Highway the night before. Stephen rose early that morning, heading into the vast beauty of the wilderness. Only a couple of hours had transpired before he found a quartz vein by a small brook. After breaking for a quiet lunch, he resumed his work. At about 12:15 P.M. his attention was drawn away from his labors by the sound of geese passing overhead. Looking up to see them fly over, he was shocked to see two red, glowing elongated objects descending from the skies. As they came ever closer, their shape was defined more as disc-shaped. As he stood mesmerized by the sight, one of the craft abruptly stopped and hovered in midair. The other continued it's downward flight until it landed on a big, smooth rock only about 150 feet from him. The hovering craft began to move away, and as it went, it changed colors from red to orange, and finally gray. It disappeared into the clouds above him. The landed craft also began to change it's color in the same pattern. Finally, the gray turned into what appeared to be "hot stainless steel," with a golden glow. Michalak had been wearing his protective welding glasses earlier, and now they protected his eyes from the brilliant purple lights shining through openings in the front of the craft. He could now smell something..like sulfur, and hear a type of hissing sound. Curiosity overcame him. He knew he was looking at something he thought he would never see, a craft from another world. The only emotion more powerful than his curiosity was the gripping fear that held him in his tracks. He did have the presence of mind to sketch the object, never moving a step. After approximately 30 minutes, he was frightened to see a door open from the side of the object. He could now see inside the craft! The interior was brilliantly lighted. Pulling all the courage together that he possessed, he moved ever closer to the other worldly craft. As he reached a point about 60 feet from the mysterious flying machine, he could hear two voices conversing above other sounds coming from inside the object. Being a multi-linguist, he tried several languages to communicate with whoever..or whatever was inside. All of his efforts failed to draw a response from inside. Undaunted, he moved even closer. He reached the door, and stuck his head inside. He saw a large panel of different colored lights, and other light beams crossing in different directions. Michalak would later describe the flashing lights as resembling lights on a computer. He saw no one in the craft, and decided not to push his luck any farther. He moved back away from the door. Suddenly, three panels moved together, hiding the door. His attention was now on the exterior of the craft. He later described the surface as "highly polished colored glass with no breaks or seams in its surface." He reached out his hand to touch the polished surface, and his glove was melted. Suddenly the object suddenly moved, and as it did, a vented opening was exposed, like a type of exhaust port. He estimated it's size as about nine inches high by six inches wide. Heat was vented through the opening, setting Michalak's shirt and undershirt on fire. He was now in great pain. He quickly tore off his top garments, and turned to see the craft ascending back into the skies. He felt a rush of air as it made it's departure. He could still smell the craft after it had disappeared. Knowing that he needed medical attention, he quickly tried to mark the spot. Using rocks, pine cones, loose dirt, anything he could find, he made a landmark. A severe headache now was complicated by a sick stomach. He broke into a cold sweat, and vomited. On his way back to his motel, he had to stop several times to ease his stomach pain. After being refused help from a passing police officer, he finally reached his motel. It was now 4:00 P.M. He entered the coffee shop, and asked someone to recommend a doctor. The nearest doctor was in Kenora, 45 miles east of Falcon Lake. Because of the distance, he decided to return home instead of making the trip to Kenora. The next bus would not arrive for about four hours, so he rested in his room, and phoned his wife. He told her only that he was in an accident, but was OK. He instructed her to have their son meet him at the bus terminal in Winnipeg. He arrived there at 10:45 P.M. His son took him to the Misericordia Hospital immediately. He was treated for his headache, nausea, and the grid-like burns on his chest. Theorists came out of the woodwork suggesting that his burns were from a barbecue pit, or some other common object. Stephen Michalak made not a cent from his story. He paid all of his own medical expenses, including a trip to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for additional treatment. To defray these costs, he wrote a privately funded booklet on his experience, but it lost money. Ultimately, Michalak was seen by more than a dozen doctors in the United States and Canada. The site of the experience was investigated by the RCMP, RCAF, other government officials and civilian groups. America's Condon Committee also joined the investigation. Nothing conclusive was every offered to debunk the fantastic account of Stephen Michalak. His story is unique in many ways, and is accepted as genuine by many UFO groups and investigators. www.ufocasebook.com/Falconlake.html

Strange Object Seen Over Chicago's O'Hare Airport UFO SIGHTING OF DISC-SHAPED OBJECT OVER O'HARE AIRPORT, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, AT 16:30 HRS. (CENTRAL) ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 07, 2006- The National UFO Reporting Center has received the following information from a single source, who, for the time being, wishes to remain anonymous, and prefers not to reveal for what entity he works. We have received documentation about the alleged sighting, which satisfies us as to the veracity of the report, and as to the credentials of the party reporting the incident. We have delayed release of this case, principally because an investigation was begun almost immediately after our receipt of the initial report, and because we were hoping to obtain addition documentation about the sighting, before it could be concealed, or destroyed. At approximately 16:30 p.m. (Central) on Tuesday, November 07, 2006, Federal authorities at O'Hare Airport received a report that approximately a dozen witnesses were observing a small, round disc-shaped object, metallic in appearance, which hovered over Gate C 17 at that airport. The object was first spotted by an employee, working on the ramp, who was engaged in "pushing back" Flight 446, departing Chicago for Charlotte, NC. The employee reported to his supervisors that the object appeared to be almost directly above his location at Gate C 17, it appeared to be perfectly round, and that its size was approximately equal to a U. S. quarter, held at arm's length. The object had a metallic appearance, according to the first witness, and it appeared to him to be spinning. The first witness apprised the flight crew of Flight 446 of the existence of the object above their aircraft, and we believe both the pilot and copilot were witness to the bizarre object, as well. The witness also contacted his supervisors, who also witnessed the object, which was visible for approximately 2 minutes. At the end of that time, the object was seen to suddenly accelerate straight up at a very rapid pace, and it "shot" through the solid overcast, which was at 1,900 feet at the time. The witness added that the object appeared to leave a "hole" in the clouds, where it had streaked upwards through the overcast. Both the Federal Aviation Administration and Transportation Security Administration were apprised of the event at the time it was occurring, and personnel in one, or more, of the towers at O'Hare may have witnessed the object, possibly with binoculars. The FAA apparently reported that the object was not visible on radar, although that fact has not been confirmed at the time of this writing. We hope to be able to release more information about the incident at some time in the near future. In the meantime, we would like to invite anyone who may have been personal witness to the event to submit a report of their sighting, using our Online Report Form. We would be most grateful if you would indicate in your report where you were located, at the time of the sighting, and what the object looked like, from your vantage point. UFO report ESSEX South East UK. October 5th 2007. THIS is why we have to be careful of the "Sky lanterns/UFO balloons". BUCKHURST HILL: Mystery over ‘UFO’ sighting: STRANGE "yellow balls of light" have been reported over Buckhurst Hill. Jenny Cooper-Rendu, of Chiltern Way, Woodford Green was returning from a meeting at Chigwell School at 8.20pm on Friday (October 5), with her son William, 13, when she noticed the lights as she drove along Palmerston Road. She said: "I was concentrating on the road so I didn't notice anything strange but my son asked me what the lights were and we pulled over to have a look." She described "rows of large yellow lights suspended in the air, completely silent". She added: "They then all moved off very quickly in different directions, it lasted for about four minutes, and lots of people were getting out of their cars to take a look." Mrs Cooper-Rendu said she is normally very cynical about UFO-type sightings but admitted the experience had left her shaken. "I would describe myself as a sceptic but I really can't explain what it was I saw, I found it quite frightening. They definitely weren't fireworks, they were suspended in the air, if they were helicopters then they were completely silent, I'm not mad, I just want someone to explain to me what they were." Previous UFO' sightings reported to the Guardian over the years have been put down to lit Thai lanterns which can be released into the night sky with lights which flicker for a while. On one occasion such lanterns released at a wedding reception sparked worried calls to Stansted Airport. Were you in Buckhurst Hill on the evening of October 5 and saw something strange in the sky? Can you shed any light on what it was? Ring our newsroom on ***** **** 12:54pm Tuesday 9th October 2007 Loc al Guardian News Oct 2007

Local resident Lynnda Rose contacted the Express to describe the strange sighting. She said: 'I was out with my dog and noticed a light above the field moving in a circular motion. 'I can only describe it as looking like an oval, thick mist which was quite bright.' Lynnda said she watched it for about another 20 minutes, then went to get her camera. 'Yes,' she said. 'You've guessed. 'Nothing came out.' The light then descended out of sight. She ran upstairs and watched it from the window while it continued in the same motion for about twenty minutes, then disappeared. Lynnda added: 'I've never seen anything like it before and can find no explanation. 'I thought perhaps it was a searchlight or a laser but there was no beam so this had to be ruled out. I must say I don't believe in little green men, ghosts or the like and have had the mickey taken by everyone I have spoken to so I hope I am not the only one who spotted it.'
