sarcastically funny?
Which is better: Shaolin Soccer or KungFu hustle?
which reminds me, Tarantino once interviewed Stephen Chow on "what is the meaning of kung fu?" Too bad, Chow forgot that line in Shaolin Soccer, where he explained in one of the scenes what "kungfu" meant. I think that was what Tarantino was aiming for.....
Oh well, language barriers.

The English dubbed version of this movie was hilarious, too -- especially the part where Stephen sang to Zhao Wei's character. But I hated the English version of that singing part! They totally blocked out the coughing part, which got Chow out of his chair for a moment.
Hmm. I watched Kung Fu Hustle before Shaolin Soccer. Kung Fu Hustle was funny, I must admit, at first, but..... I prefer Shaolin Soccer. Why? I don`t know. I`ll just suction to essence as a reason.
The Bruce Lee look-a-like was classic!

Shaolin soccer is way better than Kung Fu Hustle in my opinion. The movie was crowning achievement in Stephen Chow's career.

I prefer Shaolin Soccer. At least it had some sturdy backdrop, whereas Kung Fu Hustle's slapstick comedy was overkill. Of course, it just isn`t a proper Stephen Chow movie without Ng Man Tat and.... darn, what was nose-picker's name again? Lee.....?

My mind reverberates fondly with the memory of Patrick Tse falling down the bleachers.

My mind reverberates fondly with the memory of Patrick Tse falling down the bleachers. Didn't he flip continuously, bumping his head and feet on the steps consecutively on the way down? Or perhaps that was in a Stephen Chow work.
