Alright. Thanks! (: I was surprised myself she brought it up... like she actually wants it to come to fruition. Good sign.

Tutoring math over aim would be so much easier if the student could clearly type out her equations.

^ Are you receiving some sort of compensation for this?
Trying to download romantic comedies for tomorrow night with the Kenster, since we were talking about it in the car. I'm also down for thrillers, if anyone has any suggestions. (:

Wow... good thing for the financial aid package in spring, eh?
My hands and fingers lost some feeling after I went turbo on the accounting adjustment and depreciation entries. Wow....

Picked up the first Harry Potter book the other day. After a decade now.
I can scarcely believe it. After going through so much and even being unhinged psychologically, I look at nearly everything in the book in a different light. Not surprisingly, I relate to those in the marauder era much more. Even that James Potter...
I remember as a child, at some point before the fifth book came out, I suspected James wasn't that wonderful. However, I don't think I'd like the series so much if the characters weren't dynamic.

^ Nice! You can do it! After it's over, you'll feel exhilarated. Like that moment just after Fred and George, whose combined charm and worldly wit know no bounds, snub the creepy kitty lady, Umbridge-thing, and ride off into the sunset.

Why Lupin? Out of curiosity. I liked Tonks and Luna from the books. Tonks was always a lot of fun and didn't take appearances too seriously. She was also an accomplished Auror, despite her comic lack of coordination and stealth. Luna was interesting and deeply pensive. She'd been through a lot and had adjusted very well (I also like how they put her with Neville in the movies ).

Why Lupin? It's not that hard to guess, is it? If you look at all the characters I'm more psychologically drawn to - Sirius, Dumbledore, Hagrid, eventually Snape - it's not a surprise. I'll tell you during a marathon or something. Theoretically, I should be drawn to my ideal preferences - Fred, George, James, youthful Sirius, Lee Jordan, even Harry and Ron. But no... it's always the psychologically unhinged, but fundamentally good-natured types. And Remus resonates with a direct parallel to a (probably not entirely) conscious preference of mine I could try to squash but can't seem to. I do like the fun characters... but I have more support for those who had their slice of life. Now, if after they have been to hell and back, and can muster the strength to smile or crack a joke, I will respect them immensely. A character that has been tried, to the edges of sanity - but still makes an earnest attempt to continue living, without infringing others - now that's worthy of a curtsy and handshake, at the very least. The movies made me love Minerva McGonagall more, which I didn't think was possible. My eyes actually moistened when she was bringing forth the statues for defense. It was a powerful scene, coupled with the music, which made for a more dire, resolute, sacrificial feel. I got goosebumps. I'd be surprised if the last installment doesn't win an Oscar. Alan Rickman as Severus Snape is incredible. The scene where he died, and the scene where he discovered Lily's limp, lifeless form... I had tried to brace myself not to cry, but to avail. Phenomenal, and nothing short of. Lupin and Tonks.... Fred Weasley... his death scene hit home for me with his mother and Ron kneeling over him, mourning. I actually felt the impulse to scream, get up, and run outside. My head actually felt numb. Of course, it wasn't really about Fred anymore.

Any interesting encounters at work, Alex?
I had a bloke at a bus stop aim a frisbee at me while I was biking to school... I hadn't given him any notice, nor did I expect that. Nevertheless, I managed to jerk my head back when he yelled, "Catch!" The thing soared just between my bike tires as I passed, miraculously. Chancing a glance at him in my fright, I noticed distinctive features on his face that told me he was mentally challenged. The lady beside him began to yell - not to reprimand him, as I'd thought - but to curb him from leaping into the streets after his toy.
